Before You Start

We sell the IPTV subscription only - this gives you access to 25,000+ live channels, movies and series. To watch IPTV on a Smart TV you need a compatible player app installed on your TV. These apps are independent third-party products: some are free, others have a small one-time fee. Your IPTV subscription works with any compatible player app.

Think of it like a SIM card: your subscription is the SIM, and the TV player app is the handset. If one app stops working, your subscription is unaffected - just switch to another app.

You need: active IPTV subscription or free 24h trial
You need: Smart TV connected to internet (10 Mbps for HD, 25 Mbps for 4K)
Note: Samsung and LG Smart TVs do NOT support IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate - see the correct method below.
PATH 1

Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips - Android TV / Google TV

⏱ ~5 minutes

How to confirm: Go to Settings > About on your TV. If you see "Android TV" or "Google TV" mentioned, or if your home screen has theGoogle Play Store, you have Android TV - follow this path.

Your Smart TV runs Android TV, which means it works exactly like an Android phone or tablet. You can install IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate directly from the Google Play Store - no special steps or MAC addresses required. We already have a full guide covering these apps:

PATH 2

Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Vizio (SmartCast)

⏱ ~7 minutes

Samsung and LG Smart TVs do not support IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate. These TVs use their own operating systems (Tizen and webOS) and require MAC-address based IPTV player apps instead. These are separate third-party apps with their own activation requirements, independent of your IPTV subscription.

Compatible IPTV Apps for Samsung and LG

Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Samsung - LG - Android TV
IBO Player
Samsung - LG
SS IPTV
Samsung - LG
STZ Player
Samsung Tizen

App availability varies by region and TV model year. Prices may change - always check your TV app store for current details. The activation fee is a one-time payment to the app developer, not to us.

Step-by-Step Setup

1

Open Your TV App Store

On Samsung: press Smart Hub on the remote and open the Apps section. On LG: press the Home button and open LG Content Store. On Vizio: press the V or Home button.

2

Search for a Compatible IPTV Player

In the search bar, type one of these app names: Smart IPTV (SIPTV), IBO Player, SS IPTV, or STZ Player. All of these use the MAC address system and work on Tizen and webOS. Availability varies by region.

3

Install the App and Note Your MAC Address

Install the app and open it. On the first launch screen, the app displays a unique MAC Address for your TV. Write it down exactly or take a photo - you will need it in the next step.

4

Go to the App's Website on Your Phone or PC

Open a browser on your phone or computer and go to the app's official website (the address is shown on your TV screen). Enter your MAC Address and then add your IPTV details: Server URL, Username, and Password from your subscription email.

5

Restart the App and Start Watching

Return to your Smart TV and restart the IPTV app, or select Refresh Playlist. Your full channel list, movies, and series will load automatically in seconds.

Pro tip: Connect your Smart TV via Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi. A wired connection dramatically reduces buffering and improves stream stability, especially for 4K content.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Smart TV IPTV Problems? Fix Them Here

Solutions specific to Samsung, LG and other Smart TV IPTV issues

The IPTV app has disappeared from my Samsung or LG app store

App catalogues on Samsung Tizen and LG webOS change frequently - apps get removed or re-listed without notice. Search for an alternative app (SIPTV, IBO Player, SS IPTV, STZ Player). If none are available in your region, the most reliable long-term solution is a Fire TV Stick connected to your HDMI port.

My MAC Address shows as "Invalid" or is not accepted

Double-check you copied the MAC Address exactly as displayed - no extra spaces, and match the exact uppercase letters. Some apps show the MAC only on the initial loading screen, so restart the app if you missed it. If the problem persists, try a different IPTV player app from your TV store.

Channels load but the video is a black screen or keeps freezing

Smart TV built-in IPTV apps have limited player options. Try switching between available player modes inside the app settings (usually labelled HLS, TS, or ExoPlayer). Also check your internet speed is at least 10 Mbps for HD. A wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi makes a significant improvement on Smart TVs.

Can I use IPTV Smarters Pro or TiviMate on Samsung or LG?

No. IPTV Smarters Pro and TiviMate are Android-based apps and cannot be installed on Samsung Tizen or LG webOS operating systems. They only work on Android TV devices (Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Sony Android TV, Fire TV Stick). For Samsung and LG, use MAC-address apps like SIPTV or IBO Player.

My Smart TV is older and has no compatible IPTV app in its store

A Fire TV Stick (around EUR30-40) is the perfect solution. It plugs into any HDMI port and turns any TV into a full Android TV device with access to every IPTV app available. See our Firestick setup guide for step-by-step instructions.

How do I know if my Smart TV runs Android TV?

Go to Settings > About on your TV. If it mentions 'Android TV' or 'Google TV', or if you see the Google Play Store on your home screen, you have Android TV. Sony Bravia, most TCL, Hisense, and Philips TVs from 2019+ use Android TV. Samsung and LG do not.

FAQ

IPTV on Smart TV - Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best IPTV app for Samsung Smart TV?

The most reliable IPTV apps for Samsung Smart TV (Tizen) are Smart IPTV (SIPTV), IBO Player, and STZ Player. These use MAC address activation and work natively on Tizen without sideloading. Availability may vary by region and Samsung model year.

How do I get IPTV on a Smart TV in Ireland?

There are three methods depending on your TV: 1) If your Smart TV runs Android TV (Sony, some TCL/Hisense), install IPTV Smarters Pro directly from the Play Store. 2) If you have Samsung (Tizen) or LG (webOS), use a MAC-address IPTV app like SIPTV or IBO Player from your TV store. 3) For any TV, connect a Fire TV Stick to the HDMI port for the easiest and most reliable setup.

Does TiviMate work on Samsung Smart TV?

No. TiviMate is exclusively for Android TV and Fire TV devices. It cannot be installed on Samsung Tizen or LG webOS. For Samsung and LG Smart TVs, use MAC-address based apps like Smart IPTV (SIPTV) or IBO Player instead.

What is a MAC address for IPTV on Smart TV?

A MAC address is a unique identifier displayed by your Smart TV's IPTV player app on first launch. You copy this address and enter it on the app's website along with your IPTV subscription details (server URL, username, password). The app then loads your channel list directly on the TV.

How much do Smart TV IPTV apps cost?

Most Smart TV IPTV apps offer a short free trial period, then require a small one-time activation fee. Prices vary by app and region and can change - always check the current price in your TV app store or the app's website. This cost is separate from your IPTV subscription.

Can I use IPTV on any Smart TV brand?

Yes. All major Smart TV brands support IPTV, though through different methods. Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) use MAC-address apps. Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Philips often run Android TV and support direct Play Store app installation. Any TV brand with an HDMI port works with a Fire TV Stick.

What internet speed do I need for IPTV on Smart TV?

A stable connection of at least 10 Mbps is needed for smooth HD streaming. For 4K content, 25 Mbps or more is recommended. A wired Ethernet connection is strongly recommended over Wi-Fi for Smart TVs, as it gives much more stable streams and fewer buffering interruptions.
